Water
Nebraska must create a reasonable water policy to protect this vital resource for future generations. God created this earth and all its wonders, so it is our obligation to protect this earth as stewards of those gifts.
Ground and surface water have not been conserved enough and the state is faced with a shortfall. Excessive water usage that violated an agreement we made with Kansas several years ago means we now owe Kansas millions of dollars. Payment should be funded partially by those who benefited and partly by the State of Nebraska because we were the contracting party in the settlement. Nebraska needs to start allocating money to meet their obligations to Kansas regarding the Republican River Compact.
