Where I Stand: Health Care

E-mail Article Print Article

Health Care

Nebraskans need affordable health care, and we can't afford to wait on politicians in Washington, DC to make sure we get it. Ten percent of our state's population has no health insurance coverage—and the majority of that ten percent is working families and their children. As governor, I will reduce health care costs by lowering the cost of prescription drugs.

I will lower the cost of prescription drugs by using the collective bargaining power of our entire state. I will re-import cheaper prescription drugs from Canada which cost up to 50 percent less.
